Alex Ball named National 2011 Prep Kicker of the Year

Congratulations to Alex Ball for being named the Top High School Kicker in the nation for the 2011 season. It only makes us wonder how the outcome of the De La Salle State Title game may have been different had the Warriors been able to use his talents. Hmm. Anyway, we wish Alex Good Luck at the next level and kudos to Kicking Coach Greg Levine for helping Alex to perfect his craft. Westlake Warriors invited to the “Big House” for State Open Bowl Game

The Warrior Football family held their 2011 Season Banquet today, Sunday December 11, 2011 and while at the podium addressing the 450 or so attendees, Coach Jim Benkert's phone rang. It was a representative for the CIF informing him that Westlake has been selected to play in the State Open Bowl Game (Main Event) vs. De La Salle next Saturday 12/17 in the Home Depot Center at 8:00 pm. Warriors Win CIF SS Championship! Defeat OCHS 49-42 in the Lions Den

In another epic CIF Championship game between two top programs, the irrepressible Westlake Warriors outlasted the Oaks Christian Lions in their packed home stadium 49-42. The game was nationally televised by Fox Sports. There was no going home early, in fact the game lasted well past 11 pm and despite their best efforts, the security staff wasn't able to clear the field till well past midnight. Warriors bury T.O. Lancers 62-0 in CIF Semifinal, earn 3rd straight CIF Title bid

The #1 ranked Warriors (12-0) shut down the TOHS Lancers (8-4) 62-0 in CIF SS Semi Final match Friday 12-1-2011. The contest pitting long-time Marmonte League foes against one another seemed over in 1st quarter. Earlier in the season, the Warriors beat the Lancers 38-6 at TOHS, but the Lancers had come a long way since that game and hoped this game would prove to be much closer. Warriors Slay the Eastside Lions 59-12 in Round 1 CIF Playoff Game

Despite a shaky start in the first Quarter of their Round 1 CIF SS Ford Football Championships, presented by Farmers game - The Westlake Warriors got their engine running lean and shifted into high speed then outran the visiting Eastside Lions 59-12. Warriors Beat Agoura handily 45-9 now 9-0

Controlling the game from start to finish, the Warriors did what they had to do by beating Agoura easily 45-9 to setup a Marmonte League showdown against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs. St. Bonaventure is only football team to beat the Warriors in the last 3 seasons. The Mighty 2011 WHS Warriors are now 14-0 and CIF Champions - for the 2nd time in 3 years after a 49-42 win over the Oaks Christian HS Lions 12-9-11 at OCHS in their third consecutive bid for the CIF SS Northern Div Title Crown. Westlake is thrilled to take the crown from OCHS who won last years game 29-28. The Warriors now qualify for the State Open Bowl Game Saturday, 8pm 12/17....stay tuned for ticket info! The CIF Championship Game victory over OCHS was broadcast LIVE by Fox Sports West and we fully expect to see it replayed many times in the future. What a game!
